Dale Grimshaw’s tribal portrait Manchester on Spear Street
The prominent Northern artist Dale Grimshaw’s tribal portrait Manchester, on Spear Street, is one of the better works of art in the Northern Quarter. This artwork isnt locally inspired as this mural depicts a Child from West Papua and is dedicated to those fighting for independance.
The artwork was produced as part of the “Cities of Hope” and is tribute to children who don’t have a childhood.
The tribal portrait Manchester can be located on the rear of the Chinese Health Information Centre on Holdsworth Street its clearly visible as you walk up Spear Street from Stephenson Square.
It is located next to the Manchester Bees Mural on the side of the Koffee Pot cafe.
This area of the Northern Quarter is full of great street art.
