So I’ve been getting a lot of really nasty emails and Facebook messages at the moment and I generally tend to ignore them and I don’t think a lot of people see the hate that comes from other people directed at the trans community.
What really grinds my beef is is a lot of these messages seem to be coming from Americans.
The country that holds up free speech as one of its founding principles.
“The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise. It protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
But apparently you’re only allowed to have free speech if you are American, Religious, white, and straight!
If you are any other nationality on the planet and you say anything about America irrespective of whether it’s in reply to something they’ve said to you.
Even if it’s true!
Comments can be taken so harshly that’s it’s like I’ve dug up and sullied Abraham Lincoln’s skull!
It’s almost like how dare you have free speech but here’s my “free speech” now I’ll ignore yours or abuse you for it!
The majority of Americans that I tried to converse with do not want to listen to any other story apart from those that they are pushing. Their own narrative or agenda is the only thing they will listen to and willingness to enter into a conversation is zero.
Here’s my opinion here’s my free speech that’s the end of the conversation, even if this is untrue or some religious opinion!
Which I find quite amusing because when other countries speak up against America, the American nation usually gets quite vocal about this. But when the tables are turned there’s many people with the fingers in their ears going “la la la, we’re not listening”.
If it continues I’ll start screen shotting them and post them here for all to see!
